Managing Director Mr. Frank Boahene has been short listed to receive
the prestigious first All African Sports Award. The award organized
by the Commonwealth Sports Awards acknowledges excellence in sporting
achievements and outstanding sports men and women on the continent.
Speaking today Mr. Boahene said “It
is an honour and privilege to be
short listed for this award alongside some of Africa’s greatest
sporting personalities”.
Since leaving Fulham Football Club eighteen months ago to
setup his own playing fields design and construction company: Green
Grass Technology Ltd, he has successfully steered the company in winning
and completing contracts to construct playing fields and training facilities
on time and on budget.
Green Grass Technology’s renovation of the football pitch
at El-Wak Stadium Accra Ghana in preparation for the up coming African
Cup of Nations 2008, remains at present the only FIFA approved and available
pitch in the country. GGT has also completed work on six new training
grounds. “Ensuring that Africa’s sports infrastructure is
on par with that of rest of the world is an ambition we at GGT have with
the rest of Africa” he said. |
